Hardtack/Crackers: The soldiers were supplied with hardtack, or crackers, because they were more durable than bread.
Coffee: They drank coffee because usually water was sparse or contaminated with disease.

Tin Cup: The soldiers carried tin cups with them so they could have a cup to drink from and they could still easily heat anything in them.

Tent: Tents provided shelter for the soldiers and a space for them to sleep.

Musket: The soldiers were provided with flint lock rifles to fight with, these muskets were usually also equipped with bayonets, gun powder, and round musket balls.

Horses: Most generals and cavalry troops were supplied with horses to better their travel and ensure an upper hand against the opposition.

Uniforms: Both Confederate and Union soldiers were provided with uniforms, the Confederates gray and the Union blue. They were bland and simple but provided protection from the elements and room for mobility.
